My mother board is the z590 maximus xiii hero, i really don't want to format my computer just to find out that the problem still exists. I've uninstalled LAN drivers and let windows automatically install them, i've also manually installed them myself and the problem is still here. I also thought maybe it was my firewall so i deleted norton anti virus completely, i can confirm it isn't my anti virus. I thought maybe it's my cable, i can confirm it's not my cable, i've tried multiple and i've tried the same cable on another computer and the problem doesn't persist. Now here's what's even weirder, if i start my download on epic launcher and it's around 750kb/s and doesn't go any higher if i open steam and start a download my steam download speed will immediately go to around 35mb/s and my download speed on epic games launcher will magically start to go higher and higher, almost as if epic games launcher or rockstar launcher don't have enough priority to start downloading at max speeds. Also if i connect to the Wifi using the computer with the problem my download speeds immediately pick up and are above 20mb/s on epic launcher and Rockstar launcher. No, it's not because if i got to my second computer and try and download anything the speeds are fine. Not even 1mb/s, now you might be thinking well maybe it's just their servers. Now here's the problem, if i open Rockstar game launcher or Epic games launcher and try and download anything from there, i get below 800kb/s. Running the game from Steam auto-logs-in to your Rockstar Account, same as always, and then starts the game up, so you never even see the launcher. My download speeds on steam are correct and it usually goes to around 40mb/s in some cases, everythings fine and dandy. Right so basically my internet speed 350mb download which translates to about 35mb/s on steam if i'm downloading a game. The modding community though has improved leaps in the past three years.I'm at my wits end, i don't want to format my system but it seems like i might have to as a last resort. ![]() Anyways, the PC GTAO community isn't that great. They did a pretty shit job in developing it since the goal is only to secure income rather than provide a decent service. It's basically just a step to getting off of Steam for future releases and as a result. As for the actual launcher, yeah it's terrible. Most of the issues that I/other uses experience problems with is specifically with Social Club. Most people don't have an issue with point 3 for GTAO. Problems with the actual game's servers or in the case of Rockstar.Port forwarding may be necessary on your router. If there is a problem with internet connection in multiplayer for most people that aren't poor as shit/living in a rural area it tends to be: ![]() People pinning it on slow internet are kind of retarded. All the servers on those clients develop their own scripts. ![]() There is FiveM, RageMP and GTMP albeit GTMP is on a downslope. Well unlike consoles you do have the option to play multiplayer clients instead. Keep the tone civil though, they are just people trying to make a living, and just like you and your job, do not need someone being a jerk about things because they are frustrated.īest of luck, and I hope you get it sorted. ![]() You can also start a support ticket with R* and see if they can offer any assistance. How about your router/modem? Is your network set right for online gaming? Do you have the right ports open? Is your RAM maxed? Is the CPU spiking to 100%, is your GPU on the older side and maybe struggling? Start with the basics, what kind of hardware do you have? How is it holding up? Check your performance tab in the task manager. With PC gaming there can be a myriad of reasons as to why this is happening. As you can see your responses came back with a similar tone and no resolution. Calling out a company and calling them assholes is not a way to start off requesting help, nor is insulting other redditors just trying to help.
